We are excited to share our favourite new features in Microsoft Teams with you that you can now take advantage of.
Together Mode
With the increase of virtual meetings all around the world, Microsoft has introduced a new feature that helps make us feel more connected to each other in a call. Together mode digitally places participants in a shared background, making it feel like everyone is sitting in a room together. This allows those in the call to be more engaged and helps you to focus on other people’s faces and body language. A minimum of 5 participants are needed to enable together mode and it can accommodate a total of 49 users.
To turn this feature on, click on your profile menu located at the top-right corner and open “Settings”. Under the “General” tab, toggle “Turn on new meeting experience”.
Once the setting has been toggled on, go ahead and start a group call for between 5 people and 49 people. Once you are on the call, click on the 3-dot menu and click on “Together mode”.
